His name has officially been changed to 'Richard' but someone keeps moving the page back to the Lithuanian spelling, even though his birth name is still mentioned in the first sentence of the article.Aandalib90 (talk) 21:28, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: page move requests should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves. →GƒoleyFour23:00, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be interested to read any reference, how did it happen, that Ričardas Berankis did allegedly "officially" change his birth and passport name to some other spelling. I just want to remind, that WP:BLP does apply to this page.--Lokyz (talk) 22:00, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I could not find any official sources besides the ATP World Tour, but he himself has said that he prefers to be called 'Richard.' Aandalib90 (talk) 08:01, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Preference usually does not mean "official" change, it may be for convenience of English language speakers, mostly do not know how to pronounce č, which actually is pronounced as ch in English language - ergo Richard, not Ricard. Does not seem to be very official.--Lokyz (talk) 09:57, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
IMO, if this is how he will officially be known on the ATP, this is what Wikipedia should use. We have Carlos Moya, but Carles Moya, which is his birth spelling. Many players are known by their native names, he decided to alter his for ease in English, and especially because it is shown like this on the ATP and ITF's websites, Wiki should reflect that and use Richard. One mighf feel free to add IPA transcribtion. It would solve the matter.--Lokyz (talk) 01:02, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This article resembles some teenager diary overfilled with boring statistics and it really doest belong on wikipedia to be used for someones personal bragging — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.129.102.232 (talk) 14:18, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
